• MARCH 2021 - PRESENT
    Birchwood, Warrington, United Kingdom

I am currently working as a Graphic Designer for an Interior Design and fit-out company based in Warrington. Here I have taken on tasks based on Graphic and Motion Design, as well as photography, pitch and tender creation, video editing, directing and organising video shoots.

    Design/Motion
In my role as a Graphic Designer within the Marketing department, I am responsible for creating social media assets, ranging from still images to animation and video content. I consistently strive for innovative and creative ways to showcase our work or projects on social media platforms.

    Pitch Design
I assist in developing pitches and tenders for potential clients, working closely with Interior Design, Architectural Design, Mechanical and Electrical departments to develop concepts and technical drawings. My responsibility in this process is to transform this information into engaging presentations through PowerPoint that are visually impressive and effective in winning jobs.

    Photography
Although I am not a professional photographer, I have been practicing and taking photographs for completed projects when a photographer is not available. My forte lies in portrait photography, which is reflected in my New Starters project, where I photograph newcomers to the business and prepare social posts to welcome them into the company.

    Video and Directing
I have directed two Video Case Study projects during my tenure. The process involves a lot of communication between my team and the external video crew, reviewing the architect plans, visualizing the concepts, and deciding on suitable locations to conduct interviews to tell a story through video. Apart from directing, I edit the final video into trailers or bite-sized content for social media or client presentations.

Overall, I am an adaptable and flexible designer who takes on various tasks based on graphic design, motion design, photography, pitch and tender creation, video editing, directing and organising video shoots.

  • JULY 2020 - MARCH 2021

In the midst of lockdown, I took the opportunity to start my own freelance business. I showcased my concepts and personal projects on Twitter, which resulted in gaming organisations reaching out to me to help them develop their brand and social media presence.

    MNM Gaming/DLC Studios
I collaborated with CEO Daniel Chung, Kalvin Chung, and Managing Director Sammy Lam as a Graphic Designer for DLC Studios. I created several marketing and pitch presentations that incorporated my passion for motion design and animation.

    Audacity Esports
In addition to my work with DLC, I also worked as a freelancer with Audacity Esports, a growing organisation in the gaming community. I created various animation and motion design projects for their Twitter account.

Overall, my experience as a freelance Graphic Designer has allowed me to hone my skills in motion design, animation, and marketing strategies, while providing valuable services to organisations within the gaming industry.

    Business Development
As a Graphic Designer in the Business Development team, my primary responsibility was developing pitches and presentations for our partnered businesses.

    Marketing
I also had the opportunity to work with the Marketing Team on occasion, where I helped to develop newsletters and animations for LinkedIn. This experience piqued my interest in animation and allowed me to expand my skills in this area, which is essential in communicating with customers in a business-to-customer (B2C) environment.

  • SEPTEMBER 2017 - MARCH 2019
    Macclesfield, Manchester, United Kingdom

During my time as a Graphic Designer for Tunniecliffe Signs, I had the opportunity to create logos and brands for both large and small businesses. I worked on various projects, including signage, banners, and vehicle wrap designs, for frequent customers such as Subway and AstraZeneca.

    Design
As part of my role, I designed logos, banners, and vehicle wraps for local businesses. I had to learn new printing and fitting techniques and familiarise myself with a new design programme to meet the needs of our clients.

    Production
After finalising a vehicle wrap design, I oversaw the production process to ensure that the wrap was correctly fitted around the customer's vehicle. This required a great deal of precision and attention to detail.

    Junior Account Handler
I finished my apprenticeship with my previous employer’s partnered company (PPP) and took on the role of Junior Account Support. While in this temporary position, I familiarised myself with communicating professionally with clients and leasing with our American branch in Chicago. My tasks were to file new product SKU’s and briefs for the Artwork and Repro team in both the Manchester and Chicago branches.

    Junior Creative Artworker
I later assisted in the development of food packaging artwork, using an already designed ‘base’ file and created variations. I also carried out design amends and corrected inconsistencies within a series of SKU’s. During my temporary contract, I worked with brands such as Tesco, The Co-Operative, Asda, Southeastern Grocers (USA).

Once the client approved the design, I stepped in to apply profiles for printing plate production before sending them to the printing company.

    Transfer to Equator (GJ)
My creative potential and skills in the print industry were recognized by the company, and I was transferred to their partnered company Equator Design. I worked there for 2-3 days a week before being offered a temporary contract.
